Today is Angie’s Birthday and she is ___ years old.  She looks 10 years younger than the real number.

She is funny, brave, beautiful, hard headed, usually right, painfully honest, and the love of my life.

I would buy her the world if I could afford to….but her world is her kids and family and friends.

 Happy Labor Day Angie. 

Thanks for birthing my son Adam.  I love you.

My eldest son turned 12 today. 

Adam is a manly man of a son.  He already has his life planned- Jet Fighter pilot for the Air Force after attending the AirForce Academy. He’ll get married later as to not worry his wife with his occupation. 

 After the AirForce he will be a commercial airline pilot with wife and kids.  I’m pretty sure he already has some names picked out.  He’s 12.  You don’t want to know what I was thinking about when I was 12.

 He is serious.  He has always had a plan.  He says he will die for his country, and I believe him.  He’s 12. 

He loves Go-Karts, fishing, camping, Clemson, and his Mama.  This boy is alot like me.

I love him as much as you can love another person.  I am proud of him and know he will influence the world no matter what he does.

I salute you mini soldier.  I love you. Dad

I have had some interesting conversations with Him this past week or two.  I believe He wants the real us to talk to Him when we are just talking to Him.  Not the “I’m in Church” person who uses great words and prays nice and neat.

We all have questions about how things are run up there.  We all think what could He be possibly thinking by letting something happen the way it does.  The truth is we can’t possibly understand His ways or reasons.  That really doesn’t help all the time. 

Finding some quiet place is what I have to do when these questions are swirling around in my head. 

I am still on a journey.  If we stand in the same place for our entire lives we will never get anywhere.  It is up to God when He will reveals things to us.  I rarely find things when I’m not looking.  My point is to look, ask, seek, listen, and PRAY.  Talk to God the way you really feel.  I”m quite sure he can handle the conversation.  You might have to wrestle for your blessing.

I truly embrace my personal relationship with Jesus and can’t imagine trying to navigate this short earthly trip without Him.  Or the LLLLLLOOOOOONNGGGG HOT afterlife without Him. 

God is Good.  I know this.  I love Him and hope more people would find Him.  He is not mad at me for not going to Church this morning because we are all exhausted from the Clemson Game last night. 

not my favorite.  but I would rather ride with a car full of clowns than a car full of balloons.  If you have ever had more than 10 balloons in your car(mylar doesn’t count) than you will know what I am talking about. 

Ist thing they always do is make there way to the front seat.  Besides blocking your site, they begin to hum and all the hair on your body stands up.  After a few moments your tounge feels like it is wearing a sweater and the temperature in the car noticebly rises. 

After 5 minutes your toes go numb and you can’t recall the reason for buying the balloons in the first place.  You arrive home(actually park in the neighbors yard) and run with your shirt off to hose yourself down. 

After a few minutes the tounge swelling will lessen and up to 50% of your vision will return.  At this time it is wise to stop drinking hose water and lay perfectly still.  After 30 or so minutes, your ears will unclog and you will able to produce saliva again. 

This would be a good time to tell your neighbors you have epilepsy and invite them over for cake and ice cream.

Imagine the life.  gathering nuts. climbing trees.  lots of chatty friends.  you can live where you want.  not sure if they marry, but I’ve seen baby squirrels. 

But they just can’t seem to cross a road very well.  Alot of indecision involved.  alot of bad decisions.  alot of death there.

Are they friends with the chipmunks?  come to think of it..Ive never seen squirrels really hanging out with other animals.  Do all the squirrels know that famous one that can water ski?

In the lower states they eat squirrels.  fried squirrel on a stick is big in L.A. (lower Alabama)

people that feed squirrels in parks are generally considered strange if not schizophrenic. 

I wanted to make a coat of squirrels when I was younger.  I only shot one with my bb gun so i made a bandana instead.

flying squirrels probably have it best. are there wild squirrels in the woods?
